After a rocky divorce, Caroline Giblin (Connie Sellecca) could use a fresh start. With her bags packed and her reluctant daughter by her side, she sets out for her quaint hometown of Mayville just in time for Christmas. A new beginning is required via Caroline Giblin and her youngster girl Jordy after a chaotic and frightful separation. Not long before Christmas, they head cross-country from clamoring California to the humble community of Mayville on the opposite side of the mainland! Jordy is wary and anxious about leaving her companions, natural settings, and everything metropolitan, particularly the shopping center, to move back to where her mom grew up numerous years earlier. The re-visitation of Mayville is muddled by the presence of Mud Traynor, Caroline’s one-time life partner.

Jordy is particularly interested in the prospect of Mud living close by and pushes her mom for more data about her relationship with him – particularly when Caroline unveils she left Dirt remaining at the raised area – leaving town and making him extremely upset with not a great reason.


Ways meet for Dirt and Caroline as she finds William, a youthful out-of-control kid and his canine, hunching down in the storm cellar of her grandma’s previous home.
